Croatia's net electricity production increased 2.2% on the year in August, reaching 899 GWh, the statistical office said.

On a monthly comparison basis, electricity output rose 13.1% in August, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a press release on Tuesday.

Croatia's electricity imports rose to 1,142 GWh in August from 1,011 GWh a year earlier, while exports fell to 316 GWh from 374 GWh.

Month-on-month, electricity imports decreased 2.6% in August, while exports grew 10.1%.

Electricity made available to the domestic market amounted to 1,686 GWh in August, up from 1,647 GWh last month and 1,482 GWh last year.
