Croatia's net electricity production increased 16.5% on the year in September, reaching 905 GWh, the statistical office said on Thursday.

On a monthly comparison basis, electricity output rose 0.7% in September, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a press release.

Croatia's electricity imports dropped to 933 GWh in September from 1,089 GWh a year earlier, while exports fell to 392 GWh from 444 GWh.

Month-on-month, electricity imports decreased 18% in September, while exports grew 24%.

Electricity made available to the domestic market amounted to 1,427 GWh in September, down from 1,686 GWh last month, but up from 1,403 GWh last year.
