Croatia's Novi Agrar gets eligible power producer status for biogas plant

Croatian company Novi Agrar has secured an eligible power producer status for a 1.0 megawatt biogas-fuelled power plant in the Osijek-Baranja county, data from the website of the country's energy regulator indicated.

The planned annual electric energy output of the power plant, which will run on biogas derived from agricultural crops and organic waste from the farming and food industry, is 8.2 gigawatt-hours, the Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency said.

The regulatory decision, issued in June, has a twelve-year term of validity.

The Osijek-Baranja county is located in eastern Croatia.
