Croatian meat processing company PIK-Vinkovci [ZSE:PIVK-R-A] is planning to build a biogas-fired power plant near the eastern town of Vinkovci, the country's energy regulator, HERA, said.

The VINKA power plant will have 2 MW of installed electricity generating capacity and also 2 MW of thermal energy generating capacity, a document posted on HERA's website indicated.

HERA has granted the project promoter the status of eligible power producer for a period of 25 years.
