Niam, Evecon to partner on 84 MWp solar-storage projects in Latvia
Sep 13, 2024 11:09 CESTFrench onshore wind turbine foundations-focused engineering consultancy CTE Wind International has reached an agreement to acquire the wind design team of Finnish concrete connections and composite structures supplier Peikko Group Corporation.
The addition of the Riga, Latvia-based team will result in the establishment of a new CTE Wind office for the Nordics and Baltics. The company will now have nine offices in nine countries.
“We firmly believe in the future of wind turbine foundations in the Nordic region and for this reason, we need more capacity to meet the requirements of our customers,” said CTE Wind’s chief executive Alexander Martin.
For Peikko, the sale is aimed at allowing the company to concentrate on its core business of manufacturing and developing products for wind turbine foundation applications, particularly on the post-tension rock anchoring area.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed in the joint statement published on Monday.
