Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTGlobal renewables investor Cubico Sustainable Investments has acquired two wind farms with a combined capacity of 102 MW in Uruguay, it said on Tuesday.
The London-based firm took over the 49-MW Kiyu wind farm, located in the department of San Jose, and the 53-MW Pastorale in Flores for an undisclosed amount.
The sellers were Spanish construction engineering company ACS (BME:ACS) and German renewables developer Sowitec, which owned a minority stake in Pastorale.
Cubico said that the transaction made it into the largest private owner of renewables in Uruguay. Its operational wind power capacity in the country now stands at over 200 MW.
“The company is actively looking to further grow its portfolio in Uruguay through solar PV and other onshore wind opportunities, as well as incipient hydrogen developments,” Cubico said in a statement.
