Australia puts green tick on 300-MW solar project in Queensland
Sep 20, 2024 6:04 CESTRenewable energy developer CWP Europe will invest a total of 390 million euro ($431.2 million) in the construction of a 350 MW wind farm in Serbia's northern city of Pancevo and a 150 MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Zajecar, in the eastern part of the country, local media reported on Friday.
The wind farm will cost around 270 million euro to build, while the value of the Zajecar PV plant project will amount to 120 million, business portal eKapija quoted CWP Europe director Maja Turkovic as saying.
An agreement on the financing details will be finalised by the middle of 2023, and the construction of both plants is expected to start in the third quarter of this year, she added.
According to a plan which the city of Zajecar put up for public review in February, the PV plant will be built on a 413 ha land plot.
A detailed city of Pancevo published in late 2020 envisages a wind park comprising up to 60 wind turbines.
