Sep 28, 2012 - Use of fatty acid methyl esters, or FAME, a type of biodiesel additive, rose by 3% on the year to some 130,000 tonnes during the first six months of the year, Czech News Agency reported, citing Petr Jevic, head of the country’s biodiesel makers' association.
During the period, local output of biodiesel ingredients fell by 6% to 99,000 tonnes. Bioethanol production jumped twice to about 51,000 tonnes.
