Dairy producer Hood seals 25-MW wind PPA with Enel Source: Enel Green Power North America Inc.

Enel Green Power North America Inc has signed a 12-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with US dairy company HP Hood LLC, which will buy electricity from 25 MW of wind capacity.

To be more precise, the company behind brands such as Hood, Simply Smart Milk, Planet Oat and Hershey's Milk & Milkshakes, will purchase 90 GWh of power per year from the Azure Sky wind-and-storage project in Texas. This amount will be enough to cover about a third of the electricity that was consumed in 2020 by Hood’s 13 production facilities.
