DaVita secures 100% of renewables for global ops with Spanish VPPA Acciona solar plant

US kidney care provider DaVita Inc (NYSE:DVA) has inked a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) for 91,000 MWh of clean electricity annually to be procured from two solar projects developed by Acciona Energia (BME:ANE) in Spain.

The two projects are located in the province of Valencia. DaVita's share of the assets is equal to the amount of electricity currently used by the US healthcare firm in its international operations, the company said in a statement on Monday.
