Day Energy, CSUN connect to grid 2.5 MW PV plant in Romania

Bulgaria-based company Day Energy and Chinese solar module supplier CSUN have connected to the grid a 2.5 megawatt photovoltaic (PV) park near Romania's capital Bucharest, the companies said.

The park covers an area of 6.0 hectares and has an annual output of 3.2 terawatt hours, the companies said in a joint statement last week.

The solar plant will receive six Green Certificates per megawatt, out of which four can be traded immediately. The remaining two can be traded after March 31, 2017, according to amendments made by the Romanian government to the green energy incentives earlier this year.

CSUN designs, manufactures and delivers high efficiency solar cells and modules to the world from its production centres based in China and Turkey.

Day Energy is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor and turnkey provider of PV plants.
