Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTThe Bolivian govenment signed on Tuesday a decree that authorises borrowing USD 103 million (EUR 84.2m) from the National Bank of Denmark for the construction of 108 MW of wind projects.
Under the Supreme Decree 3537, the funds will be used for the development of three wind farms in the department of Santa Cruz. More details on the plants are available in the table below.

In all, the construction of the three projects will require a total investment of USD 193 million, with the largest sum coming from the Danish bank, USD 66 million from the national government and USD 24 million as a donation from the European country, president Evo Morales pointed out.
According to energy minister Rafael Alarcon, Santa Cruz department only produces energy through thermoelectric plants, which makes these planned wind farms a crucial tool to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and contribute to the improvement of the quality of the environment.
