Photovoltaics (PV) manufacturer DMEGC Solar, part of the Hengdian Group, will be equipping a 940-MW project in the Chinese province of Jiangsu that integrates fishery and solar power generation.

The solar manufacturer said in a statement on Monday that it is supplying its N-type 630W modules for a PV system that is being deployed on fish ponds and is expected to be hooked to the grid in October.

Once fully operational, the solar farm will be able to produce 1.609 billion kWh of electricity annually.

DMEGC said it is producing all modules for this project at its Lianyungang manufacturing facility in East China. In total, the company has 17 GW of production capacity for cells and 12 GW for modules at production bases around the world.
