The Dominican Republic’s national energy commission CNE has granted a definitive concession for the 10.3-MW/11.4-MWp Lucila solar park project sited in the province of Peravia.

CNE signed the concession contract with project sponsor Eterra Grupo Ecoenergetico del Caribe SRL, it announced last week. The concession is granted for a period of 25 years, according to the commission’s archive.

The Lucila solar farm will be located in the town of Nizao.

"First, we need energy, and then we need to comply with legal commitments that guarantee 25% renewable energy by 2025 and 30% by 2030," CNE's executive director Edward Veras was quoted as saying in the commission's announcement.
