Donald Trump wants public inquiry into Aberdeenshire wind project

Dec 12, 2011 - US real estate tycoon Donald Trump is seeking public hearing into proposals to install 11 offshore wind turbines close to his planned GBP-750-million (USD 1.17bn/EUR 879m) golf resort in Aberdeenshire, in Scotland, daily The Scotsman reported on Friday.

The call for a public inquiry into the proposed European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) has been made in a letter sent by lawyers for Trump to Scottish energy minister Fergus Ewing.

The EOWDC is being developed by Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm Ltd, which includes Vattenfall Wind Power UK, Technip and Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group.
