Swiss Life AM entity launches tender bid targeting Everfuel
Sep 03, 2024 10:16 CESTJun 26, 2012 - Danish state-owned utility Dong Energy A/S said Monday it would partner with biotech firms Novozymes A/S (CPH:NZYM B) and Novo Nordisk AS (CPH:NOVO B) on a project to turn to locally produced biomass at its Asnas coal-fired power station.
The idea is to covert waste and biomass from industry, agriculture and households in Kalundborg, on the Zealand island, into green energy and heating. Dong Energy will also cooperate with the Municipality of Kalundborg and local utility Kalundborg Varmeforsyning.
The analysis phase of the project will continue until December 2012. If the partners decided to go ahead, the first plants to partially use biogas to produce district heating are to be operational in 2016, while full roll-out is planned for 2020.
