Elawan bags Google PPA for 37-MW solar project in Texas
Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CESTDow Argentina, the unit of US chemicals company Dow Inc (NYSE:DOW), has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with MSU Green Energy to secure electricity from new solar farms for its petrochemical complex in Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires province.
The ten-year agreement will see MSU Green Energy, an Argentine power producer, supply Dow with electricity from its two solar farms in the country -- La Lomas and Pampa del Infierno.

Las Lomas is a 32.4-MW solar farm in La Rioja province. The 125-MW Pampa del Infierno plant is located in Chaco province. According to the projects’ website, the facilities are expected to start commercial operation between the fourth quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024.
Dow Argentina said that its supply under the PPA will begin in 2025.
