DS&D to open 674-kW rooftop solar system in New Jersey on Apr 26

Apr 11, 2012 - US office furniture supplier Dancker, Sellew & Douglas (DS&D) today said it would officially open a 674-kW rooftop solar system on its headquarters in the state of New Jersey on April 26.

The system includes 2,576 solar panels installed on the roof of the company's showroom and warehouse facility and is expected to produce some 875,526 kWh of electricity, enough to save 1,173,205 pounds (532,200 kg) of carbon dioxide emissions a year, DS&D said.

DS&D has also installed a GE charging station for electric vehicles that will use the power produced by the solar system.
