DTEK to add 200 MW of energy storage in Ukraine
Sep 12, 2024 16:01 CESTThe renewables arm of Ukrainian energy group DTEK today announced the commissioning of the 100 MW Orlivska wind farm.
The wind farm, located on the shore of the Sea of Azov in Zaporizhzhia region, is DTEK's third wind power project and with its successful completion, the company reached one of its strategic goals - to put 1 GW of the renewable energy in operation by 2020.
Investments in the Orlivska project amounted to EUR 131 million (USD 144.3m), EUR 40 million of which was invested locally in services and equipment supplied by Ukrainian companies, DTEK said in a news release.
This year, DTEK launched green energy projects with a total capacity of 740 MW: the Nikopolska PV park (200 AC/240 DC MW), the Pokrovska PV installation (240 AC/323 DC MW), the Prymorska wind farm (200 MW), and the Orlivska wind farm (100 MW).
