SKOPJE (North Macedonia), August 10 (SeeNews) – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said it is considering providing a senior unsecured loan of up to 2 million euro ($2.3 million) to North Macedonia’s Procredit Bank for energy efficiency investments.

The loan would provide financing for on-lending to individuals and companies in the residential sector for investments supporting transition to green economy, the EBRD said in a project summary description published on Monday.

The funding would be provided under the EBRD’s Western Balkans Green Economy Financing Facility (WB GEFF II).

GEFF is a 135 million euro programme co-financed by the EU, the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance. It is implemented under the umbrella of the Regional Energy Efficiency Programme for the Western Balkans (REEP Plus).
