EBRD mulls 58.2 mln euro loan for two wind farms in Romania

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Tuesday it is considering lending up to 58.2 million euro ($70.4 million) to finance the construction and operation of two wind farm projects of Portugal's EDP Renovaveis in Romania.

The total cost of the project, controlled and developed by EDP Renovaveis through EDPR Romania, is 83 million euro, the EBRD said in a statement.

The 24 megawatt (MW) Vutcani and the 33 MW Sarichioi wind farms are expected to start operating by the end of the third quarter of 2012.
