Elawan bags Google PPA for 37-MW solar project in Texas
Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CESTEDF Renewables North America last week said that the 4.99-MW Pine Hill solar system in Rhode Island has started operation and is delivering electricity to Providence Water.
The project was developed, designed and constructed by EDF Renewables, which won the contract under a competitive process. AEP OnSite Partners, part of American Electric Power Company (NYSE:AEP), owns and operates the facility.
The project, located in the town of Johnston, will cover 100% of the power needs of Providence Water. It is expected to result in USD 25 million (EUR 21m) in energy cost savings for the water utility over the next 25 years.
