US green data centres developer Soluna Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:SLNH) said today that it has signed a wind power offtake deal with EDF Renewables and UAE-based renewables developer Masdar to power its second data centre project in Texas.

Soluna has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) of an undisclosed term to secure clean electricity for its Project Kati, which will be co-located at a wind farm owned by EDF Renewables and Masdar. The "Renewable Computing" data centre will be realised in two phases of 83 MW each.

After solidifying its ownership of the project with the PPA, the company will now concentrate on securing land leases and navigating ERCOT planning requirements to advance the project’s development, it noted in a press statement.

The Wednesday statement comes after about a year ago Soluna announced the signing of a behind-the-meter term sheet with an unnamed renewable energy partner to connect its new modular data centre to a renewable power generation capacity.
