IEA urges proactive measures to integrate renewables
Sep 18, 2024 11:17 CESTOct 4, 2013 - EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), the green energy arm of Portuguese power utility EDP (ELI:EDP), has secured a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 100-MW wind farm in the USA, EDP Renovaveis said yesterday in a regulatory filing.
The 20-year contract was inked by the wholly-owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America.
The wind farm Rising Tree South is located in the southwestern state of California and is expected to be installed in 2015.
Since the beginning of 2013, EDP Renovaveis have signed PPAs for a total 980 MW, of which 250 MW are already operational. The remaining capacity is planned to be installed as of 2014.
