The project will require some USD 280 million (EUR 258.5m) in investments. EDPR expects it to be up and running in 2023. Once fully operational, the power plant will be able to meet the annual electricity demand of more than 37,000 average homes.

Overall, EDPR owns and operates six wind energy projects in Texas, totalling 1,089 MW of capacity, which produce enough clean electricity to meet the consumption of more than 236,000 average local homes.

Bristol Myers Squibb aims to use 100% renewable power by 2030.
