EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR) has officially opened a 35-MW wind farm in Greece's Malesina region, its second in the Mediterranean country, the company announced on Thursday.

The renewable energy company expects the Erimia wind park, as it is named, to generate around 71 GWh of clean electricity per year, enough to meet the annual demand of more than 18,000 local households. The facility consists of six turbines.

With the new addition, EDPR now has 80 MW in its local portfolio, with a pipeline exceeding 100 MW of projects under construction, featuring wind, solar and energy storage.
