Renewable energy company EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR) has launched a crowdfunding initiative in the Italian city of Casalbore where it is building a 28.8-MW wind park.

Named “ENERGY TOGETHER. The renewable energy tour in Italy", the 48-month campaign aims to raise between EUR 300,000 (USD 299,790) and EUR 500,000 for the wind project. It is launching today, September 5, for residents of Casalbore, Benevento and neighbouring towns.

On September 26, the initiative will be opened to the rest of the country until October 31, 2022.

With six turbines, EDPR estimates that the wind farm will be able to generate 65,000 MWh annually, which is enough to power some 22,000 households.

More information on EDPR's overall crowdfunding platform can be found at www.ener2crowd.com.
