Portuguese renewables company EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR) announced on Friday that Pedro Vinagre will take the role of interim country manager for Poland starting on May 1.

Selected to replace Bartosz Fedurek, Pedro Vinagre will combine the new position with his responsibilities as Executive Director for Business Development in North and Central Europe at EDPR.

The renewables arm of Portuguese utility Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) appointed the new interim country manager because of his strong knowledge of the Polish renewables sector. With more than 14 years in the EDP group, Vinagre will help the company to keep strategically expanding its footprint in this market, the company said.

EDPR has nearly 800 MW installed in Poland, including a hybrid power complex comprised of the 79.5-MW Pawlowo wind farm and the 45-MWp Konary solar park, as well as the 200-MWp Przykona project.
