Statkraft connects 44.5-MW solar farm to grid in Spain

(ADPnews) - May 12, 2011 - The European Investment Bank (EIB) said yesterday it was considering a EUR 200 million (USD m) loan to Spanish power utility Iberdrola (MCE:IBE) for research and development investments mainly in Spain and UK.
Iberdrola's RDI programme is targeting conventional energy generation, energy transmission and distribution, renewable energy as well as energy systems.
The total cost of the project is EUR 400 million.
