Spanish solar contractor Elmya EPC said it has been selected by Cero Generation as the engineering, construction and maintenance services provider for two adjacent solar projects in the northern Spanish province of Palencia with a combined capacity of 85 MWp.

The contract is for the 52.27-MWp Pisoraca II and 32.53-MWp Pisoraca III projects in the municipality of Herrera de Pisuerga. The plants will be equipped with trackers and central inverters and designed to allow the future addition of battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The Pisoraca scheme marks the third project on which the two companies are cooperating following the 5.75-MWp Bolotana A and 9.25-MWp Bolotana B.

With a portfolio of 26 GW, Cero has over 370 solar and battery storage projects under construction across eight European countries. Earlier this month, the company achieved financial closing on 244.7 MWp of solar projects in Palencia.
