US-based solar developer-operator Emeren Group Ltd (NYSE:SOL) said on Thursday that it has sold a 53.6-MWp solar portfolio in Hungary to Austrian wood panel manufacturer Kronospan.

Kronospan, through its Hungarian unit Douglas Renewables Kft, acquired the package under undisclosed terms.

The portfolio consists of six assets -- four solar farms in operation, one solar farm with an operation date schedule for the end of the fourth quarter of 2023, and one solar project that is expected to come online by mid-2024.

All of the assets are located throughout the municipalities of Torokszentmiklos, Bekesszentandras, Mezotur, Szolnok, in the eastern part of Hungary.

The transaction was finalised by the end of November, following the final government approval, Emeren said.
