The systems will be used for one of the 52 state-funded Italian Hydrogen Valleys which will be built in the Marche region in eastern Italy. The project envisages a renewables-powered hydrogen production plant and a refuelling station.
In addition, Enapter has been contracted to supply a 1-MW electrolyser for Montefusco-based energy firm FMC srl. The AEM Nexus system will be used for a solar-powered hydrogen production plant in the Pianodardine industrial area of the city of Avellino. The output of the facility, which is one of the six Hydrogen Valleys financed by the Campania Region, is intended for industrial uses.
The deliveries are scheduled for 2025. Specific financial details were not provided but Enapter noted that the contracts have a total order value in the upper seven-figure euro range.
The company has so far secured binding contracts for a total capacity of 11.5 MW as part of the Italian government's subsidised Hydrogen Valleys.
