German wind and solar parks operator Encavis AG (ETR:ECV) said on Wednesday that it has purchased a ready-to-build wind project with a planned generation capacity of 18 MW in the German federal state of Lower Saxony, expanding its domestic wind portfolio to 311 MW.

The project was acquired from SWW – Neue Energien GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of RB Holding.

Encavis has already commissioned local firm Sowitec Operations GmbH to build the wind farm, which will be located in the village of Dannhausen, 80 kilometres south-east of Hanover. The construction works will start in a few weeks. The facility will consist of three 6 MW V150 wind turbines that will have a hub height of 166 metres.

The wind farm is expected to become operational in early 2026 and is planned to produce around 42 GWh of power annually. The electricity purchase is secured via a feed-in tariff for 20 years, the company said.

Encavis added it was granted funding for the project from a German bank, without disclosing specific details.
