Solar expansion in Germany slows down to 790 MW in August
Sep 18, 2024 14:19 CESTWind and solar parks operator Encavis AG (ETR:ECV) and solar projects developer Innovar Solar GmbH have entered into a collaboration to develop solar projects in Germany with a rolling capacity of 500 MW.
The companies plan to have 500 MW projects under development at any given time. If individual projects are completed, “new projects will follow, so that 500 MW will always be developed in parallel,” Encavis said on Tuesday.
“The framework agreement with Encavis for 500 MW gives us the opportunity to drive the energy transition forward even faster,” Innovar Solar’s managing director Stefan Veltrup commented in the statement.
At the same time, the collaboration will help Encavis to further expand its solar capacities in Germany from the current 412 MW.
According to the statement, the development of the projects has already started.
Encavis and Innovar Solar previously teamed up in 2023 on the development of a portfolio of nine solar farms with a combined capacity of 160 MW across Germany.
