KKR fund increases tender offer price for Greenvolt
Sep 19, 2024 15:32 CESTEndesa X, the energy services unit of Spanish utility Endesa SA (BME:ELE), has built 3.3 MWp of self-consumption solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Portugal for furniture and mattresses manufacturer Aquinos Group.
Featuring a total of 7,296 solar panels, the six solar arrays should be able to cover 37% of the group's energy needs in Tabua, Carregal do Sal and Nelas, in central Portugal.
With a combined production estimated at 4.4 GWh per year, the solar systems can provide the group with direct savings of 54% on its electricity bill.
The portfolio operates on a lease base with an investment vehicle assuming the maintenance of the PV parks during the 15-year contract term. Following this period, ownership will pass to the customer.
Endesa X noted that it executed the project in a commercial alliance with Rio Energia and EnergyCon, a company specialising in energy services and decarbonisation.
