Estonian renewables developer Enefit Green AS (TAL:EGR1T) has upsized its EUR-50-million (USD 53.8m) loan borrowed from Swedbank AB (STO-SWED-A) in 2022 to EUR 100 million.

The maturity of the original five-year loan has now been extended to December 2028, Enefit Green said on Friday.

Enefit Green signed loan agreements with Swedbank and another Swedish bank in late December 2022 to borrow EUR 50 million from each and refinance some loans that were due the following year. The company on Friday said that the additional funds from Swedbank will be used for the development of wind, solar and storage projects, and general corporate purposes.
