Enel Green Power connects to grid 19 MW in solar capacity in Romania

Italy's Enel Green Power said on Monday it has connected to the grid its first two solar parks in Romania with a combined installed capacity of around 19 megawatts (WM).

The Berceni 1 and Berceni 2 solar parks, located in the southern Prahova county, can generate approximately 29 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year in total, cutting CO2 emissions by 13,300 tonnes on an annual basis, Enel Green Power said in a statement.

The Berceni 1 plant, with an installed capacity of about 10 MW, will be producing around 15 million kWh of power per year, while Berceni 2 is expected to produce more than 14 million kWh per year.

In Romania, Enel Green Power has 498 MW of installed wind capacity.

Enel Green Power, the Enel Group unit in charge of the development and management of renewable energy sources at international level, has over 700 operational plants in 16 countries in Europe and the Americas.
