The photovoltaic (PV) installation, dubbed Strambino, was developed by the joint venture (JV) set between the companies in January 2010. The entity -- Enel Green Power Strambino Solar is 60% held by Enel Green Power and 40% by Finpiemonte Partecipazioni. It is responsible for developing renewable energy projects in Piedmont.

The polycrystalline silicon solar panels at Strambino will generate 3 million kWh each year, while saving 2,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The facility's electricity output will supply 1,100 homes.
