Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTItaly's Enel SpA (BIT:ENEL) has inaugurated two solar parks in Panama's provinces of Cocle and Chiriqui for a combined capacity of 39.36-MW.
Part of Enel Green Power Panama's (EGPP) photovoltaic (PV) generation and expansion plan, the two parks involved an investment of USD 30 million (EUR 26.4m), the company said on Thursday.
The 13.12-MW Jaguito and the 26.24-MW Esperanza solar plants are expected to generate some 59.65 GWh of electricity per year, enough to offset some 35,400 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually.
Jaguito consists of 32,130 monocrystalline PV panels capable of producing 20.19 GWh of electricity per year, while Esperanza's 64,440 solar panels can generate 39.46 GWh annually.
At present, EGPP also operates the 300-MW Fortuna hydropower plant (HPP), the 12-MW Chiriqui and the 8-MW Estrella Solar PV parks, along with the 42-MW Sol Real solar complex.
