Japan's Eneos Renewable Energy Corp (ERE) announced on Thursday a partnership for the development of 49 MW of high-voltage solar power plants in the country's Chugoku and Shikoku regions.

The initiative is being made in collaboration with WAKO Group and ALL Asset Partners. A total of 88 power plants will be developed under Japan's bulk scheme, with multiple power plants being constructed simultaneously to secure large generation capacities.

ERE will take over the solar assets once they are converted to the feed-in premium (FIP) model. WAKO is in charge of construction, while AAP will be responsible for operation and maintenance (O&M).

All of the projects should enter the construction phase between this year and 2026, and become operational in 2027. Their generation will be sold to customers through off-site corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs).
