Hamburg-based solar developer Enerparc AG said on Monday that it has inaugurated a 192 MWp solar cluster in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate in southwestern Germany.

The complex consists of nine individual facilities, which are now connected to the grid after three years of construction. The plants are estimated to produce power sufficient to meet the needs of about 54,000 households.

The PV installations are located in Grenderich, Bullay, Neef, St. Aldegund, Mittelstrimmig, Liesenich, Reidenhausen, Haserich, and Briedel. The overall complex makes “a significant contribution” towards Rhineland-Palatinate’s goal of becoming climate neutral by 2040 at the latest, the state's minister-president Alexander Schweitzer commented in the statement.

Enerparc has already taken over nine more local projects, which will collectively generate about 100 MWh of solar power annually. Five of the plants are expected to be completed by the middle of 2025. The remaining four should be operational by the end of 2026.

Overall, Enerparc aims to install 10 GW PV capacity for its own portfolio and an additional 10 GW for third parties by 2030. In the recent years, the firm has built 650 solar plants worldwide with a combined capacity of 4.5 GW, including 3.5 GW of installations for the own portfolio.
