Costa Rican solar and energy efficiency specialist Enertiva SA will install 3.55 MWp of solar panels at two shopping centres for real estate firm and retailer Corporacion Lady Lee in Honduras.

Enertiva said the two sites will have more than 9,200 solar panels installed, which will translate into a 1.815-MWp array at the City Mall Tegucigalpa in the Honduran capital and 1.741 MWp of capacity at the City Mall San Pedro Sula.

The two projects are the fruit of a recent contract between Enertiva and the Honduran group for the phase III of the agreement to install solar panels at facilities and buildings owned by Corporacion Lady Lee.

In the phases I and II, Enertiva installed rooftop solar arrays at Lady Lee’s two other shopping centres, corporate offices and a distribution centre in Honduras.
