Aussie telecom group Telstra inks PPA for 260 MW of solar in NSW
Sep 16, 2024 12:34 CESTUS-based renewable energy company Enfinity Global Inc has signed a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) to commercialise its 15.5-MW solar project it is constructing in the Emilia Romagna region, northern Italy.
The PPA will run for ten years, during which Enfinity will supply 23 GWh of electricity annually to Italian steel producer Feralpi Group, the renewables company said on Tuesday.

The solar farm, located in Ferrara province, is currently under construction. Enfinity expects to commission the plant by the end of 2025.
Feralpi sourced the solar power for its industrial sites in northern Italy as one of the ecological measures aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions as it transitions towards lower-emission steel, according to Enfinity.
Enfinity said that this was its first industrial PPA signed in Italy. The company recently secured construction financing for this and seven other utility-scale solar projects in Italy, all tucked in a 157.1-MW portfolio.
Enfinity says it currently has 388 MW of contracted and under-construction projects, 2 GW of solar projects in the final authorisation stage, and 2.8 GW of storage projects in Italy.
