Equinor alum Stephen Bull appointed CEO of Vargronn

Stephen Bull has been appointed as the new CEO of Norway-based offshore wind company Vargronn AS, succeeding Olav Hetland.

Hetland will be leaving Vargronn to pursue other opportunities, with Bull taking over from him on June 1, Vargronn said on Friday.

Bull previously worked at Norway’s Aker Solutions ASA (OSE:AKSO), where he helped develop the company's renewable energy business. Before that he held senior positions at Norwegian petroleum giant Equinor ASA (OSE:EQNR) for almost 15 years, including a six-year stint as senior vice president within Equinor’s renewables and low carbon business.

Bull is also on the Strategic Advisory Council of the UK renewable energy trade association RenewableUK.
