ERG Renew launches 34 MW wind farm in Italy

Jan 21, 2014 - Italian ERG Renew SpA announced on Monday the launch, ahead of schedule, of a 34 MW wind farm in Palazzo San Gervasio, in the southern Italian province of Potenza.

The new plant comprises 17 wind turbines Vestas V100, each of 2 MW, and will generate 72 GWh of power per year, which will help avoid some 30 kt of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

The new wind farm consolidates the leadership position of ERG SpA's (BIT:ERG) green power unit on the Italian market, reaching a total capacity of 1,087 MW, and of 1,340 MW on European level, a statement read.
