Danish renewables developer-operator Eurowind Energy A/S said that it has obtained permits for nearly 1 GW of new projects across its European markets in the fiscal year 2023-2024.

Specifically, the figure stands at 932 MW, divided between 19 solar and 10 wind power projects. Most of these projects have a guaranteed grid connection, while several of them are already under construction.

Eurowind highlighted its 237-MW solar project in Bulgaria, which is currently under construction.

The majority of the permits were gathered in Eurowind’s core markets, with Poland leading as the host of 11 new projects. Additionally, there are five projects in Germany, three in Romania, two in Slovakia, and two in Denmark.

"I am pleased that Eurowind Energy is able to maintain its ambitions for growth in a market characterized by strong competition. For me, it is clear that our strongest asset is our experience and our ability to execute when we initiate new projects,” said CEO Jens Rasmussen.

Eurowind Energy currently operates more than 1.3 GW of wind, solar and hybrid power plants. The company's development portfolio is filled with 53 GW worth of projects, including power-to-X and battery storage schemes.
