Danish renewables developer-operator Eurowind Energy on Tuesday reported progress on its 48-MW Pecineaga wind farm project in Romania, stating that it has finalised half of the eight foundations for the turbines.

The firm said it had also built access roads for logistics and transport and installed the medium-voltage system.

The Pecineaga wind farm will consist of eight Siemens Gamesa SG 6.6 - 170 turbines. The installation site is located some 50 kilometres (31.1 miles) from the city of Constanta.

Austrian lender Erste Group Bank AG and its Romanian subsidiary Banca Comerciala Romana SA provided financing for the project.

Eurowind expects to have the wind farm in operation in 2025.
