Queensland Hydro picks contractors for 2-GW pumped storage project
Sep 18, 2024 6:05 CESTDanish green hydrogen company Everfuel A/S (OSE:EFUEL) is proposing to develop in phases up to 2 GW of green hydrogen production capacity at the Revsing Energy Park, which itself is under development by the municipality of Vejen in Denmark.
The project, called Frigg, is located conveniently for the expected Danish-German hydrogen pipeline and is intended to supply hydrogen to industrial customers in Germany, Everfuel said on Friday.

In May, Everfuel revealed a letter of intent (LoI) with an undisclosed German industrial customer for an initial supply of up to 10,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year. According to today’s announcement, project Frigg is planned to supply the hydrogen for this customer and for other future offtakers.
“Frigg is a key enabler for our commercial discussions with our LoI-partner and other industrial customers in Germany. The project is also an important element in the dialogue with the Danish authorities regarding Everfuel’s indicated pipeline capacity reservations," said Everfuel founder and CEO Jacob Krogsgaard.
Frigg is subject to being included by the Vejen municipality.
Everfuel said it has secured land for the initiative and is now progressing development and feasibility work to secure access to the available infrastructure. There is a potential for direct connection to greenfield local solar and wind energy developed by Everfuel or partners, as well as integration with local district heating.
