Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTEcuador’s ministry of energy and non-renewable natural resources announced that three developers and one consortium have presented technical bids in its international tender to award concessions for 310 MW of wind and solar projects.
The envelope opening session on Monday revealed that France’s Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN), Total Eren SA, and Spanish consortium Cobra Zero-E submitted offers for the Villonaco II and III wind farm projects totalling 110 MW. Alongside Solarpackt EAM, Neoen and Cobra Zero-E are also bidding for the 200-MW El Aromo photovoltaic (PV) project.
The tender process was due to be concluded this spring, but the ministry re-scheduled it several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and finally set the deadline for the submission of offers for October 12.
Envelopes containing economic offers will be opened on November 27, while the results will be announced on December 4, 2020.
The tender will award a 20-year concession for the El Aromo scheme and a 25-year concession for Villonaco II and III as one wind project. Nine companies and groups passed the pre-qualification round, with six of them competing for both projects.
