Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTJan 10, 2014 - French wind turbines maker PMV Energies, controlled by German businessman Andree Kruger, will submit two building permits in the first quarter of 2014, for a wind turbine assembly plant in Le Verdon and for an onshore wind farm with 11 turbines in Naujac, according to Sud Ouest.
The company will invest some EUR 75 million (USD 101.9m) in the projects, both located in southwestern France, which may create some 100 jobs.
The plant is seen to produce 50 turbines annually as of the autumn of 2015.
Andree Kruger has developed, with German Bard Engineering, the first operating offshore wind park in the world, featuring 80 turbines producing 400 MW in the North Sea. The farm, which went on stream in 2013, has been recently sold to a US investment fund.
